The 2019-2020 Bolivar Cheerleading Program is setting up to be a year like no other. Under the direction of new head coach, Matthew Massey, and assistant coach, Abby Trammel, the middle school cheer team, alongside both JV and Varsity high school teams, are ready for success. The middle school cheer team will be competing in Kansas City this coming weekend, for the first time, with the high school varsity squad competing the following weekend, for the first time after a 2 year hiatus. The high school’s JV squad is holding off on competing until December due to teammate injuries.

But, despite any minor injuries or setbacks, everyone is eager to compete. With three practices a week, camps over the summer, open gyms on days without practice and on weekends, stretching, and an amazing Homecoming performance, the upcoming competitions are looking hopeful. All of the teams have put in the work to learn new skills and perfect their game faces.

Be sure to take a moment to wish your fellow classmates and cheerleaders luck in their upcoming competitions.
